Für das Erinnern – KZ-Gedenkstätte Mühldorfer Hart e. V.
The camp in Mühldorfer Hart, located in a forest near the district town of Muehldorf, was a subcamp of the notorious Dachau concentration camp.
Remembering the victims of the Nazi regime and in particular the several thousand people who died at this subcamp is at the heart of our society’s work.
- Every year on April 28, the anniversary of the evacuation of the camp in Mühldorfer Hart in 1945, we organize a commemoration ceremony at the former bunker site.
- We inform the public about the site and its history with guided tours.
- The structural remains of the bunker site, the forest camp and the mass grave should be or become worthy places of remembrance and commemoration.
- Through contacts with survivors, e.g. from Hungary and Italy, and through research, we secure eyewitness accounts and keep a European dialog about tyranny and Nazism alive. Cultural and political events pose questions about the present and the future.
- Association members also receive information about events, conferences, etc. organized by other institutions (such as the Muehldorf Heimatbund, Kreismuseum, etc.).
The current articles and rules of procedure of our society are available in German only. You will find them here.
