The cemetery is designed like a park with an outer hedge encircling deciduous trees and ornamental shrubs. Two inscriptions adorn the gate post entrance. The inscription on the left translates to “Final resting place of 392 victims of National Socialism who died in April 1945”, while the inscription on the right has a poignant appeal to passers-by: “Do not just wander through. Allow love to erase what hate has done.” A stone-paved path leads straight ahead to a cross, while a right turn along the middle reaches a Jewish memorial surrounded by ornamental shrubs. The inscription is from Psalm 119: “The word of the Lord was a lamp to their feet.” Symbolic gravestones bearing the Star of David and others bearing the Christian cross adorn the lawn and the area along the perimeter fence.
The cemetery can be reached via road B 29 (Federal Road 29) and is located about 200 meters after Neumarkt-St. Veit’s southern town boundary in the direction of Mühldorf am Inn.
